About Owen
Guitarist and vocalist Owen Conforte has been in demand as a performer, educator, and music producer for the past 15 years. While earning his bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Southern Maine, he made a name for himself as a musical director and composer for Tim Long’s documentary “Escape to Dreamland: The Story of the Tamiami Trail” (2008) and D.C. Bianchino's musical “You Can’t Stop the Music” (2011). Additionally, he was featured as a session musician/actor in Dan Sykes’ independent film, “Colossus” (2013). Owen has shared the stage with artists such as Otis Redding III, Delvin Choice, Cyril Neville, Dave Gutter, and Spencer Albee to name a few. When Owen isn’t leading his cover band OC and the Offbeats, his talents have been utilized in groups such as the Tony Boffa Band, Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew, Dean Ford and the Beautiful Ones, The Fogcutters Big Band, and more. Owen stays active as a guitar teacher and session musician from his recording studio in Lewiston, Maine. His recording credits include Jason Ward and the West End Mules, The Fogcutters Big Band, and Brit Martin. Owen’s online guitar studio reaches students all over the United States.
